Bus Zone
Transportation will be provided within the EHES neighborhood for all students living beyond the D20 approved walk boundary (1.5 miles from school property). Walk distances do include improved walkpaths.
Whenever possible, school bus stops for neighborhood elementary students are within 1⁄2 mile of their home. Please be aware that while a neighborhood is being built, stops within this distance may not be possible because of construction vehicles/equipment/building materials, etc. In addition, some roads are not consistently safe for use by a large, heavy vehicle like a school bus.
Walk Zone
The following currently built areas will be within the EHES walk zone:
The North Fork neighborhood, including all streets around EHES north of Old Ranch Rd.
The rural neighborhood directly east of North Fork, reached by entering at Old Ranch Rd x Howells Rd or at Milam Rd x Arrowhead Rd, and bounded by the Kettle Creek waterway on the north. This neighborhood has an improved walkpath between Howells Rd and Forest Creek Dr which is comparable to walkpaths in numerous other walk zones throughout District 20.
Some properties adjacent to these neighborhoods on Old Ranch Rd. and Milam Rd.

Other Considerations
Students who are attending through School Choice may also receive transportation. Additional information is available on the district website.
All students eligible for transportation will be automatically routed before each school year begins. Information for your student's route is available on the Extended Parent Portal.
If you have students attending Edith Wolford Elementary School (EWES) or Chinook Trail Elementary School (CTES) and decide to keep them at those schools, and you currently qualify for neighborhood transportation, those students will continue to receive transportation to those schools until they complete 5th grade or until your address changes.
If your student requires a Special Needs bus for transportation, you will need to contact your IEP team.
